Our Heritage
Korean beauty, popularly called K-beauty, traces its roots back to the Three Kingdoms of Korea (57 BCE - 668 CE).
During this period, the common Korean belief ‘Within a beautiful body rests a beautiful soul’ (영육일치사상; 靈肉一致思想) became widespread. While the reason people in Korea value skincare has changed with time, beauty and skincare rituals have become a part of Korean culture that’s lasted to this day.
Korea’s labs have also been the driving force behind some of France’s biggest beauty brands. Since the 1980s, the beauty world has looked to Korea for cutting-edge creativity and beauty innovation.
With a legacy of plant-based ingredients and centuries-old beauty practices, Korea is at the forefront of science-backed skincare that delivers what’s become known as the K-beauty glow.
